Episode 26: George
In the Season 1 finale, Dan sits down with his boyhood hero, George Brett. In a wide-ranging interview, they discuss Brett's career, from breaking-in to almost hitting .400, as well as the attitude he took into every game: "I was going to be the best player on the field every night." And in a more contemporary story, Brett talks about a recent dinner with Buck Martinez, Mike Babcock and Brendan Shanahan in Toronto, where the first-ballot Hall of Famer and former Blue Jays killer realized he was the least-famous man at the table.
