"An American Curler In Calgary" ft. John Shuster

Kevin and Warren toss some final shots at the Canadian mixed doubles curling championship including how players handled hog line violations (9:00) and when a rock is burned. The guys also send well wishes to 1979 Brier champion Barry Fry (26:40), who is currently experiencing health problems.

U.S. men’s skip John Shuster joins the show (31:00) from inside the Calgary bubble and gives the rundown on the world men’s curling championship. Shuster talks about how his team was able to pull off the “Mira-curl on Ice” at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, what has changed in his life since striking gold, the growth of the game south of the border plus some of the young guns coming up in the system. Shuster also shares his funniest story involving the Olympic trials and a trip to the Omaha zoo.
